Platform

My operating system of choice is Windows (currently Vista x64), but I have worked extensively on most versions of Windows and as well as OS9 and OSX. I feel comfortable and proficient using both the PC and Macintosh platforms.

Software

Although I use many programs to perform my duties, Fireworks has evolved into my tool of choice for creating Web layouts, as I find its combination vector / raster engine the most intuitive and efficient, and its custom anti-aliasing options for typography indispensable. I use Photoshop for more advanced image work, and Illustrator for vector elements such as logos. I prefer to hand-code my XHTML and CSS using Dreamweaver, although I have also used Visual Studio when required.
